Bongo-news: SEMINAR ON EMPOWERING WOMEN TO ACHIEVE SDGs organized by Better Bangladesh Foundation (BBF) on 18th of December at Le Meridien Dhaka.
BBF Women’s Empowerment Summit 2019 held at Le Meridien Dhaka!
Honorable Minister for Planning MR. MA Mannan, MP has joined the seminar as the Chief Guest .
Besides that, Ms Rumana Ali, MP, Ms. Sheuly Azad, MP, Ms. Adiba Anjum Mita , MP , Ms Farzana Brownia , Lt General Hasan Sarwardy, Ms. Nadira kiron of Atn Bangla, Barrister Wolora Afrin , Director of BBF , Singer Shusmita Anis of ACI Group and Acting Ambassador of UAE Embassy in Dhaka MR. Faisal and UP Chairman Salina Chowdhury spoke on the occasion while the seminar was chaired by Professor Masud A. Khan !
Dr. Sanzida Akhter, Chairman of the Department Women Studies, University of Dhaka has delivered the keynote address.
As we all know, Bangladesh has made commendable success in advancing women’s empowerment in the last couple of decades, though more government support is needed to establish a gender equal society

Leading women business leaders and entrepreneurs on Wednesday underscored need for women’s active participation in the process of development to achieve gender equality for women’s empowerment in line with the targets set in the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
They said Bangladesh has made commendable success in advancing women’s empowerment in the last couple of decades, though more government support is needed to establish a gender equal society.
Mr. M.A. Mannan, MP Bangladesh is becoming a role model for women’s empowerment in the world under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as women here are now in leadership positions in every sphere of national and social life. He also mentioned that Professor Masud A. Khan, Chairman of Better Bangladesh Foundation (BBF) is playing a vital role to carry forward the vision taken up by our Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He assured all possible support for BBF to undertake good work for the great cause of humanity.
